High School: Honorable mention all-state choice as a senior at Morgan City High School, playing for head coach Dennis Lorio. . . made 70 tackles as a senior (50 solo) with nine quarterback sacks (-30), five forced fumbles, four passes blocked, two fumbles recivered and three blocked field goals to earn first team all-district mention. . . had 28 tackles as a junior (25 solo) with two sacks, three TFL, one fumble caused and one fumble recovered . . a two star recruit by Scout.com and 247Sports...chose Louisiana over Nebraska and had interest from TCU, Southern Miss and Louisiana Tech...a two-sport star, Johnson was aso an all-region track selection in the shot put.
