High School: First team all-state choice as a senior at Grenada High, playing for coach Lamar Pitcock. . . rushed for 762 yards and 11 touchdowns on 146 carries and caught 32 passses for 504 yards and three scores as a senior. . . had 1,616 all-purpose yards as a senior. . . voted “Mr Grenada” as a senior. . . voted team’s best defensive back as a junior after making four interceptions. . . also rushed 20 times for 232 yards and two touchdowns. . . lettered twice in both track and baseball. . . ran a personal best 10.6 in the 100. . . ran on the 4x100 relay team that finished third in the state. . . played left field on the baseball team.
