High School: First team all-state selection as a senior at Archbishop Rummel high, playing for coach Jay Roth. . . helped team to a 10-2 record as a senior, advancing to the quarterfinals of the state tourney. . . also earned all-districtt and all-metro accolades. . . lettered three times in football. . . started at tackle as a sophomore on the Rummel team that went 14-1 and won the district title. . . originally signed with the Cajuns in 2012 but delayed enrollment until January, 2013. . . spent the 2012 season as an assistant coach at Archbishop Rummel, helping team to a 12-0 record and the state Class 5-A championship.
