Fall Developmental League
October 6 - November 17, 2013
The Fall Developmental League is designed to prepare the high school baseball athlete for their spring high school season. This program is designed to enhance baseball knowledge and baseball skills through 6 Sunday games. The same fundamentals used by Division I atheltes will be taught. Pitchers will have monitored innings and pitch counts for safety. All games will be played on ML Tigue Moore Field. The first Sunday will be used for a workout and evaluation. Each player will receive a UL hat and t-shirt, players must provide their own baseball pants.Â

Baseball Prospect Camp

The Ragin' Cajun Summer Showcase Camp is an opportunity for high school players, freshman to seniors, to participate in an evaluation setting in front of the entire Louisiana Lafayette coaching staff. This camp is an essential part of the recruiting process for our staff as it enables us to add players to our current follow list as well as identify a later developing, uncommitted senior prospect. Several of our current players have participated in these showcase camps and have been recruited and signed as a result of their performance at these events.Â
Check-in will take place at M.L. Tigue Morre field located on the Louisiana Lafayette sports complex at 201 Reinhardt Drive in Lafayette, LA. The Moncla Indoor facility may also be used in the event of bad weather.Â
All position players will take part in a 60 yard sprint for time, a defensive session where skills will be evaluated along with arm strength, and batting practice. Following lunch, pitchers will be asked to throw to hitters in a controlled game. Pitchers will be on a strict pitch count. Dual players (pitcher/position players) will be allowed to do both skills, however it is important to do your best at the position you are the most effective.Â
