Q: Mr. Williams, the new practice as well as game jerseys look really sharp. What makes the Russell jerseys so unique?
A: Well we have been with Russell Athletic since 1980 and have a contract with them on uniforms and apparel. The main reason we are with Russell is because of their ability to produce items quicker and better that any other apparel company that we have worked with before.
Q: I also see you are fitted with Nike as are most college programs. Does the program have a contract with them as well and what types of accessories does Nike provide for the program?
A: Yes we do. They provide us with a great selection of shoes and accessories. Nike produces some of the best shoes available on today's market. We use a variety of shoe's for practice as well as gloves, elbow sleeves, shin guards, skully's, wrist bands, etc.
Q: What other companies do the Cajuns also do business with?
A: Well we have contracts with both Wilson and The Game. Wilson has provided football's for us for twenty plus years and have proven to be one of the best football manufacturer's around. The current football we use is the GST. We also have a contract with The Game, who provide us with all hats, visors, and beenie caps that we use on a daily basis for practice and games.
