Student Athlete Advisory Committee
The Student Athlete Advisory Committee is made up of a minimum of 14 members and a maximum of 17 members. One representative will be selected to represent each sport and one from managers and one from trainers. Not more than three additional student athletes will be selected as at-large members of the committee.
The group meets monthly with the athletic director, faculty representative and the senior women’s administrator to provide information, insight and communication involving student athlete welfare at Louisiana-Lafayette. These discussions and topics may include academic performance and advising, student athlete academic attendance policies, study hall, nutrition, living conditions and any other department policies affecting student-athlete welfare.
Members of the committee are chosen to serve one year terms, and may succeed themselves for one additional term. Members must have attended Louisiana for one full semester prior to serving on the committee. Each representative serves as the liaison from the Athletics Department to his or her sport.
