Employment of Student Athletes
Because there are NCAA regulations to the employment of student athletes, if you wish to hire a student athlete, it must first be cleared through the Ragin’ Cajuns Athletic Department. Also, the following conditions apply to the hiring of a student-athlete:

The student athlete can not be hired based upon the status of being a student athlete

Compensation must be provided for work actually performed, and at a rate commensurate with the going rate in that locality for similar services.

A student athlete's name, picture or reputation can not be utilized to promote the sale of any product or service.

In addition, it is not permissible to provide transportation costs to or from the site of employment, or any other benefit, unless such benefits are provided for all employees in that employment situation.
