2011 (Junior): Played in all 13 games on the defensive line, starting the games against North Texas (10/15) and WKU (11/22) in successive weeks. . . also saw action on special teams. . . made 18 tackles (seven solo) with two tackles for loss and a pair of quarterback hurries. . . started season out strong, making three tackles at Oklahoma State (9/3) and four stops at Kent State (9/10). . . blocked a field goal in the win over Nicholls State (9/17). . . made a career-high five tackles (four solo) in win over Troy (10/8). . . earned first letter.

2010 (Sophomore): Sat out the season as per NCAA transfer rules. . . made the conversion from playing on the offensive line during his first two years to the defensive line.

LSU: Did not see any game action as a sophomore in 2009, practicing at offensive tackle. . . redshirted during the 2008 campaign.

High School: Considered one of the top defensive line prospects in Georgia as a senior at Northview High, playing for coach Don Savage. . . didn’t begin playing football until junior season. . . started on both sides of the ball as a senior. . . member of the PrepStar All-Southeast region team. . . finished senior season with 58 tackles, nine TFL’s, six sacks and four pass breakups. . . racked up 56 tackles and three sacks as a junior.
