2011 (Junior): Saw action in 12 games, making four starts as the third receiver, earning the team’s Hardy Edmiston Sportsmanship Award. . . missed the Kent State game (9/10). . . ranked sixth in the league in receptions (58) and seventh in receiving yards (697) with one touchdown. . . also rushed four times for eight yards and a TD and returned seven kickoffs for 117 yards. . . caught a career-high 12 passes for 176 yards and a 42-yard touchdown vs. Florida Atlantic (10/1) . . . the 12 catches were the fourth-highest single game total in school history. . . added 10 catches for 140 yards at WKU (10/22). . . came back the next week to make seven catches for 76 yards at Middle Tennessee (10/29). . . ended year by making five catches for 50 yards against San Diego State in the New Orleans Bowl. . . earned first letter.
Junior College: Named first team NJCAA all-region and first team all-state as a return specialist as a senior at Holmes CC, playing for coach Danny Robertson. . . scored nine touchdowns, averaging 30.5 yards on kickoff returns and averaged 19.7 yards on punt returns. . . caught 35 passes for 380 yards and two scores and rushed for 236 yards and four touchdowns.
High School: First team all-state choice by the Clarion Ledger as a senior at Winona Secondary School, playing for coach Ken Chandler. . . part-time starter at defensive back as a freshman and started part-time at quarterback as a sophomore. . . became Winona’s full-time starter at QB and CB in district games of junior and senior seasons. . . named to the All-Combine team at the Steve Robertson Southeast Select Combine in Tupelo, Miss.
