2010 (Sophomore): Appeared in three games as a reserve defensive lineman. . . had a season-best 23 snaps vs. WKU. . . recorded an assisted tackle and a QB hurry at La.-Monroe.

2009 (Freshman): Did not compete during the season. . . Named Defensive Scout Team Player of the Week (Southern).

2008 (Redshirt): Redshirted, did not play.

High School: Honorable mention all-district choice as a senior at Salmen High, playing for coach Jerry Leonard. . . lettered three times in football and once each in track and powerlifting. . . played in just four games as a junior because of a knee injury. . . earned the captain’s award and the coach’s award as both a junior and senior. . . voted the squad’s most powerful lineman as a senior. . . won the Class 4A powerlifting regional title with a 500-pound dead lift and owned a best of 500 in the squat as well. . . threw the shot and discus in track, owning bests of 40-0 in the shot and 151-0 in the discus.
