2003 Season Notes: Is a perfect 7-0 in the circle...Has allowed just 10 earned runs through 53 2/3 innings of work...Picked up the win vs. No. 16 Florida State March 14 at the KIA Klassic – the last regular season loss for the Seminoles this season...Got the win in relief vs. Northwestern State in La. Classics March 1, working out of two bases-loaded jams including one in the seventh with the Cajuns on top 3-2...Opened the season without allowing an earned run in her first 24 1/3 innings...Southern Mississippi’s Sarah Boyd hit a three-run home run in the first inning of game two on March 9 to end Parrott’s streak of consecutive innings without and earned run allowed...Before the Florida State game, had issued just two walks in 27 1/3 innings...Has started just three games since the Florida State decision and has appeared just six times...Last start came against McNeese State April 29; she went 1 1/3 innings and received a no-decision...Tossed three innings of relief in the Cajuns 9-2 loss to Oregon in game one on championship Sunday; allowed two unearned runs, gave up four hits and struck out three hitters...Has posted a 22-4 record since transferring to UL Lafayette from North Carolina in 2002...Collected her 50th win of her career in the Cajuns 10-1 rout of Prairie View March 28 in Lafyette.
2002: Was her first in the Lady Cajuns’ Softball program...Transferred from North Carolina...Asppeared in 22 games, starting 19...Had a 15-4 record with a 2.18 ERA...Tossed three shutouts and two combined shutouts...March 8 against Stephen F. Austin at Lady Cajun Park, tossed a five-inning no-hitter...Struck out seven batters and allowed just one hit in the final five innings of 5-3 loss at then-No. 7 Oklahoma...Struck out season-high eight batters in 7-6 loss to Western Kentucky April 6...Began season with one-hitter at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, losing no-no in the bottom of the eighth.
PRE-LOUISIANA-LAFAYETTE: Was a two-year letter winner at North Carolina and compiled a 29-11 record with 280 strikeouts...As a freshman, she led the ACC in strikeouts per game (7.32) and ranked third in the league in ERA (1.45)...Her first home run of career came at Lady Cajun Park during 2000 Louisiana Classics
HIGH SCHOOL: U.S. Army Scholar-Athlete of the Year was a standout pitcher-first baseman at North Shore High School...All-State selection as a senior and was a three-time All-District member...As a senior, had a 0.46 ERA and had 146 strikeouts in 77 innings...Played summer ball with current Lady Cajuns Melissa Coronado and Tiffany Grayson.
PERSONAL: Born Sept. 2, 1980, in Houston, Texas…Parents are Mike and Debby Parrott…Has one older brother…Majoring in Exercise Science.
