JUNIOR SEASON (2004)
First season as an everyday
starter....Started 60 games at shortstop replacing Jill Robertson who suffered a
season-ending injury in pre-season practice...Was a member of the All-Sun Belt
Conference First Team – the first all-conference honor of her career...Also
named to the All-Louisiana softball team...Set personal bests in every hitting
category...Committed just eight errors (out of 131 chances) the entire season
and had a stretch of 27 straight appearances without an error from Feb. 29-May 2
(56 consecutive chances)…Led the team with a .500 batting average in Sun Belt
play (10-for-20) with two homers, five RBI, .800 slugging percentage and .583
on-base percentage going into the final weekend of the season…Had 12 stolen
bases and ranked third on the team with 37 walks…Her 37 walks were the
fourth-most in a single season in program history...Was one of only three
players on the team with more walks than strikeouts (37BB:30K)…Was hitting
3-for-4 (.750) in Sun Belt play with runners in scoring position and was 5-for-5
with two outs and had four 2-out RBI going into the final weekend…Had arguably
the best weekend of her career in the Cajuns sweep of New Mexico State – went
5-for-7 at the plate (.714 average) with two home runs, four RBI and four runs
scored, collecting 11 total bases in seven at bats...Missed six straight games
April 18-25 after suffering a leg injury in the third inning of the first game
of a doubleheader with Florida International April 18 (was spiked in her right
thigh by FIU’s Cindy Turek on an attempted steal of second base)...Returned to
action April 25 at North Texas subbing in during the fifth inning...Hit her
first career home run on Feb. 25 against Louisiana-Monroe at Ragin’ Cajuns
Softball Park...Homered in her second at bat of the first inning...Had a
career-best, five-game hitting streak April 10-14 (7-for-12, 5 runs scored, 2
home runs, 4 RBI).
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2003)
Started 21 games at
second base and appeared in a total of 49 games...Scored a
career single-season best 17 runs and collected four
RBI...Drove in a run against Auburn Feb. 16 with a sacrifice
fly...Scored the lone run in the Cajuns 1-0 win over
Nicholls State on Feb. 19...Made 13 straight starts at
second base from April 12-24 as regular Brittany Bryant
battled wrist injuries; was 10-for-29 during that stretch
(.345 average) with two doubles, a triple and three
RBI...Picked up her first career double in the first game
with New Mexico State April 12...Notched her second career
double in the second game of a twinbill with Nicholls State
on April 16 bringing home the game-winning run in a 5-0 win
over the Colonels...Collected her first triple in the first
game of the four-game series at FIU..Her 17 runs and 12 hits
were tops amongst the Cajuns reserves.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2002)
Appeared in 55 games,
mainly as a pinch runner...Started two games as designated
player against Western Kentucky...Had 23 at bats, picking up
four hits...Scored eight runs...Scored the eventual
game-winning run in the first game of a doubleheader with
Long Island March 4 (scored twice in a 5-4 Cajuns win)...In
second game of DH with LIU, picked up her first collegiate
hit – singled to right field in the fifth inning.
