2011 (Junior): Started the first 11 games of the season at linebacker before suffering a season-ending broken left leg at Arkansas State (12/12). . . finished ninth on the team with 45 tackles (20) solo, adding 1.5 tackles for loss and one pass breakup. . . had a season high seven tackles against both FIU (9/24) and La.-Monroe (11/5). . . added six stops against Troy (10/8) and five at Kent State (9/10). . . earned second letter.
2010 (Sophomore): Enrolled in class for Spring semester, joining the team as a walk-on but quickly earning a scholarship. . . saw time in six of first seven games at strong safety, starting at Troy and vs. WKU. . . missed final five games with a knee injury. . . did not play vs. Arkansas State due to a shoulder injury. . . had eight tackles, one TFL of eight yards, an interception and pass breakup vs. No. 22 Oklahoma State. . . also had an interception at Troy. . . named to the Sun Belt Conference Honor Roll.
Pre-Louisiana: Originally signed with Hawaii. . . underwent surgery on a partially torn ACL and a torn meniscus in left knee in October 2007 and received a medical redshirt. . .played in one game that season at free safety, making two tackles. . . transferred to Mississippi Gulf Coast for the 2008 season. . . did not compete in 2009.
High School: Starred as a defensive back. . . tallied 60 tackles, eight forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries in 2005. . . registered 142 tackles in senior campaign. . . selected to play in the Max Emfinger All-American Bowl Game Classic. . . earned first team all-state honors as a junior and senior.
