Junior tight end earns spot on second preseason watch list

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football player Caden Jensen earned preseason watch list honors for the second time this summer as the redshirt junior was one of 113 players nationally named to the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy Watch List, the organization announced on Tuesday.

Jensen, a junior, was earlier selected to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team Watch List last month.

The Flower Mound, Texas native played and started in 12 games last season for Louisiana, finishing second on the team in receptions (29) and fourth in total receiving yards (231).

Jensen caught at least one pass in nine games during the season with 15 of his 29 grabs coming in the team's final four games of the season. He caught four passes against Arkansas State, ULM and Delaware, where set career-highs in both receiving yards (72) and long reception (40).

The Allstate Wuerffel Trophy honors college football's most impactful leaders in community service – recognizing the FBS player who best combines exemplary service with leadership and achievement on and off the field.

Named for 1996 National Championship – winning University of Florida quarterback and renowned humanitarian Danny Wuerffel, the award reflects his legacy of using influence to serve others and make a positive impact.

As the premier major college football award emphasizing community service, the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy considers nominees from all FBS programs nationwide. A member of the National College Football Awards Association and the first major award to honor the character of service, it celebrates athletes who serve, elevates their impact, and inspires others to lead lives of purpose.

Louisiana officially kicks off the 2026 season on Saturday, September 5 against Lamar in the annual Herbert Heymann Classic at Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium.

MOBILE PARKING HERE FOR 2026 SEASON
As part of its continued commitment to providing a faster, safer and more convenient game-day experience, Louisiana Athletics is transitioning to mobile parking passes beginning with the 2026 season. With fans already using mobile tickets for entry, moving parking passes to a digital format creates a more seamless experience from arrival to kickoff.

Easy Access
Parking passes will be available directly on your smartphone through your Cajuns Account, eliminating the need for paper hangtags. Digital passes help reduce the chance of a pass being lost, stolen or forgotten on game day.

Simple Management
Fans can conveniently access, download or transfer their parking passes at any time through the #GeauxCajuns app or their Cajuns Account, making it easy to share parking with family and friends when needed.

Greater Flexibility
Mobile parking allows Louisiana Athletics to distribute parking passes quickly once schedules are finalized. If game dates or kickoff times change, updates are reflected automatically in your digital wallet, ensuring you always have the most current information.

Important Information
This transition applies only to standard parking passes. Tailgating passes will continue to be issued as physical hangtags and distributed using the same process as in previous seasons.
