Louisiana Announces Representatives For SBC Football Media Day

Harrington, Skipper to join head coach Michael Desormeaux in annual event in New Orleans on July 22
LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Football head coach Michael Desormeaux will be joined by returning letterwinners Jax Harrington and Tyree Skipper as the Ragin' Cajuns head to the Crescent City for the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Football Media Days, scheduled for July 22-23 at the New Orleans Marriott Warehouse Arts District.

The annual event will be broadcast live nationwide on ESPN+.

Programs from the Sun Belt's West Division — Louisiana, Arkansas State, ULM, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Texas State, and Troy — will take part on Tuesday, July 22.

The East Division — App State, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, James Madison, Marshall, and Old Dominion — will appear on Wednesday, July 23.

Harrington, a fifth-year offensive lineman from Erath, La., started all 12 games he played in during the 2024 season, earning All-Sun Belt Conference Honorable Mention honors. A consistent force up front, he led the Ragin' Cajuns in knockdowns and helped anchor an offensive line that ranked fifth nationally in fewest tackles for loss allowed (3.58 per game), 18th in total offense, and 44th in rushing offense.

Skipper, a New Orleans native and product of Sophie B. Wright High School, earned second-team All-SBC honors despite missing the final five games of 2024 due to injury. The hard-hitting defensive back recorded 41 tackles and tied for the team lead with four interceptions. He broke into the starting lineup in a win over Wake Forest, where he logged five tackles and sealed the 41-38 victory with a clutch fourth-quarter interception.
