LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball head coach Alyson Habetz announced on Monday (June 16) the addition of infielder Madyson Manning (West Monroe, La.), a transfer from LSU, to the program's roster for the 2025-26 academic year.
Â
Manning becomes a Ragin' Cajun after competing for LSU in 2024 and 2025. She has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Â
"We are thrilled to welcome another Louisiana-made softball standout in Madyson Manning to our Ragin' Cajuns family," Habetz said. "Mady is an explosive athlete with a strong presence at the plate and solid defensive versatility.
Â
"Her experience at the SEC level, combined with her competitive fire and work ethic, make her a perfect fit for our program and culture," Habetz added. "We're excited for what she will bring to our team both on and off the field."
Â
The West Monroe, Louisiana product recorded a .289 average and had a .951 fielding percentage with 23 assists, 16 putouts and two errors over the 26 games (21 starts) for the Tigers.

Â
Manning had three starts and played in eight games as a sophomore in spring 2025.
Â
A Top 30-rated recruit in the Class of 2023 by Extra Inning Softball, Manning was named All-State, All-Northeast and was the All-District MVP following her senior prep season at West Monroe High School.
Â
The Ouachita Citizen's 2023 Softball Player of the Year led the Rebels in batting average (.513), slugging percentage (1.150), hits (61), doubles (12), home runs (20) and RBI (48) in her senior season campaign.
