Louisiana To Hold Vermilion and White Spring Game on Saturday

Ragin' Cajuns to officially open 2025 season on August 30 against Rice
LAFAYETTE – Fans can get their first look at the 2025 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Football team on Saturday when it wraps up spring practice with its annual Vermilion and White Spring Game at Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium.

The game will start at 10 a.m. Admission is free.
Â
Parking for fans will be available in both the East and North Endzone lots of Cajun Field. Fans will be able to enter through the Northeast Gate of the stadium, with seating available on the East side.

The Ragin' Cajuns, which will wrap up spring camp following 15 practices since late March, will play a pair of 20-minute periods with segments scheduled for punts, field goals/extra points, and situational play. During a 15-minute halftime period, the Ragin' Cajuns Spring Award winners will be recognized by the coaching staff.

Louisiana, which finished 10-4 last season, will open the fourth year under head coach Michael Desormeaux on Saturday, August 30, when it hosts Rice in the opening game of the newly refurbished stadium.

The Ragin' Cajuns will also host McNeese (Sept. 6) in non-conference action, along with Marshall (Sept. 27), Southern Miss (Oct. 18), Texas State (Nov. 8) and ULM (Nov. 29). Louisiana will travel to face SEC member Missouri (Sept. 13) and MAC opponent Eastern Michigan (Sept. 20) in non-conference play with SBC road visits to James Madison (Oct. 11), Troy (Oct. 25), South Alabama (Nov. 1) and a Thursday night contest at Arkansas State (Nov. 20).
