Schedule Revised for Louisiana-Marshall Softball Series

Weather forecast prompts change to series beginning with a doubleheader on Friday
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Due to the weather forecast for the Huntington, West Virginia area this weekend, the Sun Belt Conference Softball series between Louisiana and Marshall has changed to a Friday-Saturday format.
Based upon the weekend weather forecast, the two teams will now open the series with a 2:00 p.m. (CDT) doubleheader on Friday, March 14 at Dot Hicks Field in Huntington.
The Ragin' Cajuns (13-10, 0-0 SBC) and Thundering Herd (12-12, 0-0 SBC) will then conclude the series with a 3:00 p.m. (CDT) contest on Saturday, March 15, the first pitch time subject to change dependent on weather.
The upcoming weekend set marks the first-ever SBC series between Louisiana and Marshall since the Thundering Herd joined the conference in 2023.
It's also the start of the 25th season of softball within the Sun Belt, UL entering as the five-time reigning champion, and the SBC debut for Ragin' Cajuns head coach Alyson Habetz.
