Weather Adjusts Start Time of UL-USA Softball Series Opener

MOBILE, Ala. – Due to impending weather in and around the Mobile, Alabama area, officials at both institutions have agreed to adjust the start time for the series opener of the Sun Belt Softball Opening Weekend series between Louisiana and South Alabama at Jaguar Field.

Game one of the series has been pushed forward to a 1:00 p.m. start on Friday, March 15.

The remainder of the series schedule will be re-evaluated following Friday's contest.

The Cajuns-Jaguars series is being televised live on ESPN+ with radio coverage available on The Goat 103.3 FM and 1420 AM in the Acadiana region and worldwide via The Varsity Network.

The series in Mobile marks the start of the 24th season of softball within the Sun Belt Conference. Louisiana, the four-time defending regular season champion, begins its SBC title defense and quest for the program's 20th regular season title.

The Cajuns (15-12, 0-0 SBC) carry a streak of 81 consecutive Sun Belt Conference series won – which dates back to March 2013 – into the South Alabama series.
