Meet the December RCAF Investor of the Month, Kyle Menard!

Kyle Menard is a Lafayette local and a proud, born-and-raised Ragin' Cajun. His mother worked at the University of Louisiana for approximately 30 years, and his father graduated from UL with a degree in finance. Kyle's childhood consisted of watching every major Louisiana Athletics sporting event with his family for as long as he can remember. A few of his favorites include Louisiana football, basketball, and baseball.

Kyle began his college career at the University of Louisiana in 2003 and graduated in 2008 obtaining a degree in kinesiology while focusing on exercise science. During his undergrad at UL, he participated in several bands within the music program. Some of which include the Louisiana Marching Band (2003, 2004, 2005), Basketball Pep Band (2003, 2004), and the Wind Ensemble (2004). Upon his graduation, he went back to school for nursing. Since then, Kyle has worked in various departments within hospitals: Med-Surg, ER, and ICU. While working full-time as an LPN and RN, he started a nursing staffing agency that has grown to the extent of practicing business throughout 15 states across the US, with plans to be in an additional 10 states by the end of 2024.

Kyle says that he chooses to give back to the RCAF and Louisiana student-athletes because he enjoys seeing his alma mater flourish and succeed. He mentions that the other perks and social connections that come along with his contributions are an extra bonus.

As Kyle has watched and attended many different Ragin' Cajuns athletic events throughout his life, he says it is certainly hard to choose just one favorite memory. He says a few of his most memorable Louisiana Athletics moments were being able to experience the 2000 baseball season (and ensuing the World Series games), the 2014 baseball season, and the 2011 football season (and ensuing the New Orleans Bowl Championship).

Kyle has always been known by his peers to be a die-hard fan and proud Ragin' Cajuns supporter for life. He says it makes him happy to see his 4-year-old son also get excited for Louisiana Athletics sports and hopes he continues his fandom as he has.
