Louisiana part of 10-team contingent competing Feb. 25-27 at Youngsville Sports Complex
LAFAYETTE - The 15th-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball team is one of 10 teams converging on the nearby Youngsville Sports Complex in Youngsville, La., from Friday-Sunday, Feb. 25-27 for the 2022 Mardi Gras Mambo NCAA Collegiate Softball Tournament - a mere 11 miles from the team's home base.
It's the Ragin' Cajuns first appearance in the newly organized event (debuted in the 2020 season) which is operated by the Youngsville Sports Complex. Louisiana provides the "local" flair to the event and is one of two nationally ranked teams set to compete in Youngsville as No. 2 Alabama joins the squad after a matchup at Lamson Park on Thursday, Feb. 24.
Daily tournament passes are currently on sale ONLY THROUGH THE YOUNGSVILLE SPORTS COMPLEX. Fans can purchase tournament passes in advance from the convenience of their own home, providing an option to avoid the lines on game day, by logging on to YoungsvilleSportsComplex.com or calling the YSC Office at (337) 857-6804.
The daily tournament passes provide access to tournament games on a specific day and are available for purchase online for $15. For direct access to the ticket portal, click here.
Tickets can also be purchased onsite as a walk-up by credit card only. No cash will be accepted for ticket sales.
Separate passes are required for admission each day (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). Passes are required for anyone aged 13 and older, free for children aged 12 and under.
The trip to the Youngsville Sports Complex will conclude a season-opening stretch where the Ragin' Cajuns play the entire month of February either inside or near the city limits of Lafayette.
Each of Louisiana's games in the tournament will be played on the SUPREME RICE FIELD and the team will occupy the third base dugout.
