Louisiana To Host LSU On Sunday In Fall Ball Exhibition

Free admission to pair of 9-inning contests
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Baseball team will close out fall practice on Sunday (Nov. 13) when it plays host to LSU in an exhibition game at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park.
First pitch is scheduled at noon. Admission is free with general admission seating available in the grandstands and bleachers. Reserved seating will be available in the Stadium suites, Field Box Seats and the Loge level.
Gates to the stadium will open at 11 a.m., with concessions available. The Russo Park Stadium Club will also be open with food and drinks available for purchase.
Louisiana and LSU will play a combined 18 innings, playing a pair of 9-inning contests. The Ragin' Cajuns held their first fall exhibition on Oct. 30 scoring 20 runs in a 16-inning contest at Tulane.
Louisiana returns 17 letterwinners from last year's team, which finished 37-23 overall and claimed the SBC Tournament title. The Ragin' Cajuns competed in the NCAA College Station Regional – its first postseason appearance since hosting the 2016 NCAA Lafayette Regional.
All-Sun Belt Conference and All-ABCA South Region performer Carson Roccaforte (.374-16-68) posted a Triple Crown for the Ragin' Cajuns with Heath Hood (.337-4-39), first-team All-SBC catcher Julian Brock (.303-7-35), Trey LaFleur (.300-3-8) and Kyle DeBarge (.293-3-30) all returning to the lineup.
Louisiana added 25 newcomers to the team including 16 pitchers.
