Ragin' Cajuns Wrap Up Fall Schedule In Hawaii

Louisiana part of 20-team field in final fall event of 2022-23
LAHAINA, Hawaii – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Golf team wraps up the fall portion of its 2022-23 schedule when it competes in the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational beginning on Friday at the Royal Ka'anapali Golf Course.

Play in the three-day, 54-hole event begins each day at 1 p.m. CT. Louisiana is part of a 20-team field which features hosts Hawaii, defending champion Kansas and Power Five programs Clemson, Colorado, Georgia, Ole Miss and Oklahoma.

Also entered in the field is Air Force, Boise State, UConn, Cal-State Northridge, Denver, East Tennessee, Gonzaga, Liberty, Mount St. Mary's North Florida, UC Irvine and Wyoming. Live stats will be available at GolfStat.com.

Louisiana wraps up its fall schedule in the Island State for the sixth time in the last eight years as it makes its first visit to the Royal Ka'anapali Course. The Ragin' Cajuns wrapped their 2021-22 fall schedule with a third-place finish at Hawaii's Hoakalei CC Invitational and was ninth in the 20-team Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational in 2018.

Freshman Malan Potgieter will play in the No. 1 slot for Louisiana after posting a 73.33 scoring average in 12 rounds of play this fall. Eli Ortego (74.17) will compete in the No. 2 spot for the Ragin' Cajuns with Jake Marler (73.83) and Charlie Flynn (74.42) playing in the No. 3 and 4 positions.

Hudson Dubinski, who has missed the first four events due to injury, will make his 2022-23 debut and will play in the No. 5 slot.
