Ragin' Cajuns To Have Strong Presence at 101st Louisiana Amateur Championships

72-hole event slated to begin Thursday in New Orleans
LAFAYETTE – Three current members of the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team – Charlie Flynn, Cole Kendrick and Matt Weber – along with a 2020-21 newcomer and five alums will be a part of a 144-player field when the 101st Louisiana Amateur Golf Championships tee off June 11-14 at the Bayou Oaks at City Park South Course in New Orleans.
Joining Flynn (Alexandria, La.), Kendrick (Natchitoches, La.) and Weber (Scott, La.) on the course will be incoming freshman Jake Marler (Shreveport, La.). Ragin' Cajuns alums Colin Troxler (Luling, La.), Seth Dufrene (Luling, La.), Jeff Lorio (New Orleans, La.), Robbie Trahan (Crowley, La.) and Andrew Noto (Metairie, La.), who finished as the 2010 LGA runner-up, will all compete on the par-72 course.
The championships of the 72-hole event will start with stroke play on Thursday, June 11 with 18 holes with second-round action set for June 12. The top 60 players will advance to the weekend with third-round play set for June 13 with the final round on June 14.
