Louisiana Schedules Home-And-Home With UAB

Ragin’ Cajuns and Blazers will meet in Birmingham in 2023 and in Lafayette in 2026
LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Football and the UAB Blazers will play a home-and-home series beginning on Sept. 16, 2023, in Birmingham and concluding on Sept. 19, 2026, at Cajun Field, the two programs announced on Tuesday morning.
The first game between the pair will be Louisiana's third game in 2023 along with matchups at Minnesota (Sept. 30) and at home against New Mexico State (Oct. 14), while the 2026 meeting in Lafayette will be the team's second scheduled nonconference contest that season ahead of the Ragin' Cajuns' return trip to Wyoming (Sept. 26).
The two teams have not faced off since Sept. 21, 2002, when the Ragin' Cajuns earned a 34-0 win over the Blazers at Cajun Field. Louisiana trails the all-time series, 4-2, but owns a 2-1 record in Lafayette.
Louisiana kicks off the 2020 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 5, when it welcomes in-state foe McNeese State to Cajun Field.
