The Advocate Announced as Official News Partner of Ragin' Cajuns Athletics

The Acadiana Advocate and Louisiana Athletics enter into three-year sponsorship agreement
LAFAYETTE -Â The Acadiana Advocate and Louisiana Athletics have entered into an exciting new partnership for the state of Louisiana's largest daily newspaper to be The Official News Partner of Ragin' Cajuns Athletics, the two organizations announced Friday.
The alliance joins two established brands, not only in the Acadiana region, but across the entire state of Louisiana. The Ragin' Cajuns and The Acadiana Advocate will partner on advertising and branding initiatives over the course of the three-year contract
"We're excited about this partnership to strategically grow the Ragin' Cajuns brand across our region" said Brian Bille, General Manager of Ragin' Cajuns Sports Properties of Learfield/IMG College. "Through the power of The Advocate's audience, we're able to reach a large number of active alumni and fans not just in Lafayette, but into Baton Rouge and New Orleans, as well. Our commitment to bringing new experiences to our fans encompasses many avenues in-venue and across various types of media. This new partnership is a key component and something we've worked hard to bring to fruition."

As The Official News Partner of Ragin' Cajuns Athletics, new opportunities will exist for increased coverage of Louisiana's sport programs by The Advocate, helping tell the many unique stories of Louisiana's more than 450 student-athletes.
"We are thrilled to announce this partnership with the Ragin' Cajuns," said Judi Terzotis, President of The Advocate. "UL Athletics is a way of life in Acadiana. There's nothing better than sitting in the stands cheering on the student-athletes we have come to love. It's part of our mission at The Acadiana Advocate to lift up and celebrate our community. Our blood runs red."
