Louisiana Athletics to ship donated supplies back with Coastal Carolina after Saturday’s game

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Athletics is sending relief supplies home with Coastal Carolina after Saturday's game at Cajun Field, and the Ragin' Cajuns are encouraging all supporters in Lafayette and the Acadiana area to help.

The Chanticleers are saving space in their football equipment truck for the following items: bottled water, nonperishable food items, paper products and cleaning supplies. The Ragin' Cajuns intend to send Coastal Carolina home with a full payload. All additional items will be donated to the American Red Cross.

Beginning Friday (Noon to 6 p.m.), those making donations are asked to drop items at Gate 2 of the Cajun Field parking lots (adjacent to Bertrand Drive).

On Game Day Saturday, fans can donate supplies at four different locations around the Cajun Field parking lots (Gates 1, 2, 3 and 4), beginning three hours prior to kickoff (3-6 p.m.). Members of Louisiana's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will be on-hand Friday and Saturday to accept and organize supplies.
