Louisiana starts the 2019 season with back-to-back tournaments at Lamson Park
LAFAYETTE – The schedule of games for the pre-conference tournaments being hosted by Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball at Lamson Park during the 2019 season have been finalized.

Louisiana is hosting the Ragin' Cajuns Classic (Feb. 7-11) and the 33rd Annual Louisiana Classics (Feb. 15-17) the first two weekends of the 2019 campaign.

Feb. 7 – vs. Fordham – 5 p.m.
Feb. 8 – vs. Incarnate Word – 2 p.m.
Feb. 8 – vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi – 4:30 p.m.
Feb. 9 – vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi – 4:30 p.m.
Feb. 11 – vs. California – 4 p.m.
Feb. 11 – vs. California – 6 p.m.

Season ticket renewals are currently underway, continuing through Monday, Oct. 29. Season ticket holders may renew their seat locations online at RaginCajuns.com using Account Manager, or by calling the Louisiana Athletics Ticket Office at (337) 265-2170.

The 2019 season marks the second season for Louisiana under the guidance of Gerry Glasco. In 2018, Louisiana reached 40 wins for the 20th straight season and was ranked in both major national Top 25 polls the entire season, finishing No. 18/19 in the final edition of the rankings.

Louisiana, in search of a 21st consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, returns seven starters from its 2018 season-ending lineup headlined by All-Sun Belt selections Alissa Dalton and Kara Gremillion and veteran catcher Lexie Comeaux. Summer Ellyson, a 20-game winner in 2018, returns as the lead pitcher.

A group of 11 newcomers are set to make their Ragin' Cajuns debut in 2019, highlighted by four Division I transfers (Bailey Curry, Keeli Milligan, Julie Rawls and Kendall Talley).
