CST will air seven Louisiana Women's Basketball Games during the 2018-19 season
LAFAYETTE – For the second-straight season, Louisiana Women's Basketball will be featured prominently on Cox Sports TV, with CST broadcasting seven home games on a national scale to more than five million homes, during the 2018-19 season, including Louisiana's Education Game (Nov. 14), the matchup with Louisiana State (Dec. 20) and Louisiana's game against in-state foe ULM (Jan. 19).
Â
"I am excited for our kids, the program and the University for us to be covered by CST over the seven games that they will be broadcasting," said Louisiana Women's Basketball head coach Garry Brodhead. "I think that is important for us to get the exposure that CST is giving us this season, because it helps us to build and show what our identity is as a program. For a program to grow they need to get its product out there, and with CST covering our games this year they will be big part going of us growing as a program."
Â
It is the second-straight season that CST will be covering Louisiana's games, having broadcast Louisiana's three-overtime marathon win, 98-86, against McNeese State on Dec. 3 and Louisiana's 63-55 win over ULM on Jan. 13.
"CST has always done a great job covering our games, and we have built great relationships with the crews that they bring in to the Cajundome over the years," said Brodhead. "CST does a great job of growing the women's game as a whole, and we are just excited to once again be a part of that growth for both our program and women's basketball as a whole."
This season, CST will be there when the Ragin' Cajuns face off in some its biggest non-conference games of the season, with the 5th Annual Education Game against Dillard, on Nov.14), along with Louisiana's matchup with Louisiana at the Cajundome against Louisiana State, on Dec. 20, getting center stage. Louisiana's game against ULM, for the second straight season, will also get the national broadcast treatment, with that game tipping on Jan. 19.
