Ragin' Cajuns Add Justin Middleton To Football Roster

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football coach Mark Hudspeth announced on Friday the addition of junior college linebacker Justin Middleton to the 2017 roster.

Middleton, a 6-foot-1, 225-pound product, will have two years of eligibility remaining after spending the past two seasons at Trinity Valley (Texas) Community College. The Mansfield, Texas native helped TVCC to an 11-1 record in 2016, its fourth straight Southwest Junior College Conference Championship and a No. 3 ranking in the final NJCAA polls.

As a sophomore in 2016, Middleton recorded 72 tackles with five stops for loss, a pair of sacks and two fumble recoveries. He posted games with 13 and 10 tackles respectively against Kilgore College

He added 37 tackles as a freshman with 5.5 tackles for loss.

Louisiana, a Football Bowl Division member of the Sun Belt Conference, officially opens its season on Sept. 2 against Southeastern Louisiana at Cajun Field.
