TROY, Ala. – The start times of Friday's games in the 2017 Sun Belt Conference Tournament at the Troy Softball Complex have been moved up due to anticipated inclement weather in the evening hours.

14th-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball (43-6) and Texas State (40-13) will now begin the winner's bracket final contest at 10 a.m.

The winner of the Ragin' Cajuns-Bobcats matchup advances to Saturday's 1 p.m., championship game. The loser will have to return to the field on Friday and play an elimination game at 3 p.m.

No. 14 Louisiana topped South Alabama 6-0 behind a career-high 13 strikeouts from Alex Stewart while Texas State broke a sixth-inning tie with a three-run homer from Sara Rupp to defeat Georgia State 5-2 on Thursday and set up the matchup.

The game will be broadcast on SportsRadio ESPN 1420-AM in the Acadiana region and the RadioPup app worldwide with Steve Peloquin calling the action. Live video will be provided by an ESPN3 broadcast that features play-by-play from Matt Stewart and analysis from three-time Florida Gators All-American Francesca Enea.

Louisiana, the defending tournament champion, seeks an appearance in the SBC Tournament title game for the fourth straight season and 16th time overall in the 18-year history of the event.
