McGuire Named To Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List

Senior one of 400 student-athletes named to list
LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns running back Elijah McGuire was one of 400 student-athletes from every level of college football named to the Senior Bowl's 2017 Watch List, the organization released this week.
McGuire, one of 10 Sun Belt student-athletes named to the list, rushed for a team-high 1,058 yards and 13 touchdowns for Louisiana in 2015 while hauling in 34 passes and three TDs. The Houma, La., native joined Tyrell Fenroy (2005-08) as the second running back in school history to rush for over 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons.
He became the first running back in Ragin' Cajuns history to record 100 receptions in a career and enters the 2016 season as the only active NCAA player with 3,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards receiving.
The Senior Bowl is scheduled for Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala.
