Ragin' Cajuns Place 183 Student-Athletes On SBC Commissioner's List, Honor Roll

Cajuns have second-highest number of honorees among SBC schools
NEW ORLEANS – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns placed a combined total of 183 student-athletes on the 2014-15 Sun Belt Conference Commissioner's List and Honor Roll that was announced on Wednesday by the league office.

Louisiana, which had the second-most student-athletes combined among league schools on the list, had 79 student-athletes named to the SBC Commisioner's List with 104 named to the SBC Honor Roll. The Ragin' Cajuns football team placed a combined 35 members (29 Honor Roll, 6 Commissioner's List) to lead all programs with baseball (25), women's track and field/cross country (24), softball (21), soccer (19) and men's track and field/cross country (17) following.

The Commissioner's List honors student-athletes who have maintained a 3.5 grade point average or better during the 2014-15 academic year while the Academic Honor Roll honors those student-athletes who have maintained a GPA between 3.0 and 3.49 for the academic year.

More than 1,700 Sun Belt Conference student-athletes were named to the 2014-15 Commissioner's List and Academic Honor Roll, with 825 student-athletes named to the Commissioner's List and 917 student-athletes on the Academic Honor Roll list.

Student-athletes who were named to both lists will be honored at each sports respective Sun Belt Championship.
