Football Season Tickets Continue To Reach High Marks

LAFAYETTE – With a winning tradition on the gridiron established under current head coach Mark Hudspeth, football season tickets for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns have seen a significant increase over the years.

After setting a record in 2013 with 11,833 season tickets sold, sales during the 2014 season have seen an increase of nearly 2,000 as officials announced a total of 13,803 tickets sold through the end of September.

Louisiana, the current leader in attendance among Sun Belt Conference schools, opened the season on Aug. 30 against Southern before an announced attendance of 36,170 – the third largest crowd in Cajun Field history.

The Ragin' Cajuns will return home on Saturday, Oct. 4, when they play host to Georgia State in the Sun Belt Conference opener. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:04 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN3.
