Due to the onslaught of severe weather on Wednesday, the final round of the 2011 Club Glove Sun Belt Golf Championship was cancelled. All scores are final from Rounds 1 and 2, resulting in a fifth-place finish for Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns golf team.

High winds and rain pummeled the Fighting Joe Course at the Shoals in Muscle Shoals, Ala. for much of the morning.

After struggling on Monday, UL rebounded on Tuesday and looked to carry the momentum into the final round. But Mother Nature thwarted the Cajuns' plans.

Despite being shortened to 36 holes, the Cajuns had three players finish in the top-20.

For the second year in a row, junior Philipp Fendt finished in the top-10. After finished tied for sixth last season, Fendt finished this years' championship in a tie for eighth with a total tally of 143 (-1).

In his first Sun Belt Championship, freshman Chris Weninger finished in a tie for 14th place. After struggling on Monday, Weninger shot a two-under round of 70 to finish at 146 (+2). It was the fifth consecutive tournament in which the Austrian native finished in the top-15.

Senior Thomas Petts wrapped up his four year career with his best showing at the conference championship. He shot back-to-back rounds of 74 to finish a four-over par and in a tie for 17th. His previous best finish was at the 2009 championships where he finished tied for 28th overall.

Denver claimed the title after leading through the first two rounds with a score of 573. North Texas and La.-Monroe tied for second place (577) and Arkansas State (584) finished ahead of the Cajuns (588).

North Texas' Carlos Ortiz claimed medalist honor with a seven-under score of 137.
