After entering the day with three players in the top-10, UL posted a score of 312 to finish in eighth place out of 17 teams with a three-round total of 904.
"We had a poor showing out there today," said UL head coach Theo Sliman. "We had a chance to make some moves but didn't show up for the challenge. We dropped some strokes out there down he stretch."
A day after posting a career-best round of 67, Chris Weninger slipped a spot on the leaderboard with a third round score of 76 (+4). The freshman finished tied for fourth place overall at two-over par (218), his first top-10 showing of his collegiate career. He had started the day at two-under in sole possession of third place.
"It was a good finish for Chris," added Sliman. "He was in contention but he saw how some mental mistakes were magnified. He'll draw on this experience, playing under pressure, and make adjustments to his game."
Weninger's fellow countryman, Philipp Fendt, also slid down in the standings with a third round score of 77 (+5). Fendt had started the day in a tie for sixth, but carded a total score of 222 (+6) to share a piece of 11th place.
The third Cajun who started the day in the top-10, Andrew Noto, also saw his name fall down the leaderboard. Noto's third round of 77 (+5) put him in a tie for 16th place, finishing the tournament one stroke behind Fendt at 223 (+7) after heading into the final round in tie for 10th overall.
Missouri (882) claimed the team title and individual medalist honors as Jace Long finished at 210 (-6). Southern Miss (890), Louisville (890), UALR (890) and Central Arkansas (896) rounded out the top-five.
Also included in the scoring for UL were Thomas Petts (241) and Kelsey Angelle (245).
The Cajuns will have a few days to refocus before playing the University Club Intercollegiate in Baton Rouge, La. on April 2-3.
