Cajuns Host No. 75 Akron Saturday

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns women's tennis team will put a five-match winning streak on the line as no. 75 Akron comes to Lafayette on Saturday.

The Cajuns (9-4) and the Zips (8-3) will square off at 9 a.m. CT at Cajun Courts.

Louisiana is coming off a thrilling 4-3 win over Northwestern State on Thursday. Senior Mia Gordon captured a third-set tie break to seal the win for UL and extend her winning streak to three matches.

Julie Mazinova leads the Cajuns with an 11-2 record on the year playing from the no. 1 and no. 2 spots. She has won her last eight matches with seven wins coming in straight sets.

Splitting time with Mazinoza at the head of the Cajuns' order is Audrey Wooland. Wooland, a sophomore from Sugar Land, Texas, has won her last five matches and sits at 8-5 on the season.

As a pair, the duo is 5-4 in doubles play and has won their last three matches.

Admission on Saturday is free to the public.
