Youth Football Camp
8-13 years old
2nd - 9th grade
9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Instruction will be at the skill positions as well as the offensive and defensive line. Campers will progress from individual instruction to group work promoting team concepts and strategies. All campers will be instructed on offense and defense. No helmet is required. All campers should wear a t-shirt, shorts, socks and football cleats. Water and Powerade will be provided but you may bring a water bottle is you wish.
Ragin' Cajun Kicking Camp
Ages 13 to high school senior in Fall 2011
Registration is from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
The "Kicking and Punting/Snapping" specialist camp will provide expert coaching from Ragin' Cajun coaches, Mike King, and guest lectures. The camp will cover basic fundamentals and individual technique for kicking, punting and snapping for beginners and advanced instruction for experienced players.
June 16th 1st session 2:00-4:00 p.m.
2nd session 5:30-7:30 p.m. (film at the 1st part of this session)
June 17th 3rd session 8:00-10:00 a.m.
4th session 11:00 a.m.-about 12:30 p.m. (competition)
One Day Junior/Senior Camp
2011 Junior or Seniors
1:00-5:00 p.m.
Instruction will be at all positions. Campers will ahve significant individual instruction. No helmet is required. All campers should wear a t-shirt, shorts, socks and football cleats. Water and Powerade will be provided but you may bring a water bottle if you wish.
Ragin' Cajun "Trench Warfare" Camp
Ages 13 to high school senior in Fall 2011
Registration is from 9:00-10:00 a.m.
Camp will run from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
The "Trench Warfare" camp is a "work camp" specially designed to improve all players that play in the trenches. This camp will be "Teaching Intensive" and will be instructed hands on by the Ragin' Cajun Line coaches. OL/DL Camp will need to bring helmets.
Ragin' Cajun Shootout - 7 0n 7 Tournament - CAMP FULL NO REGISTRATIONS
Ages 13 to high school senior in Fall 2011
Registration is from 9:00-10:00 a.m.
Cost is $25 per player and includes a Ragin' Cajun Shootout t-shirt and meal. Each team will need to submit a $100 deposit to reserve a spot.
*All deposits must be received one week prior to competition. Submit all participant information together. Anyone interested in registering individual needs to call 337-482-6380 to register.
Each team will play at least 6 games. A round robin format will be used in the morning session and a competition format in the evening session. Officals will be provided. The championship game will be played in Cajun Field. Trophies will be provided to teh winning team.
Supervision
Coach Mark Hudspeth and his assistants will be working directly with campers providing constant supervision. There will also be medical supervision by BJ Duplantis, ATC Certified Athletic Trainer. Each participant will receive significant evaluation and observation.
Facilities
All activities will be conducted on the UL campus in Lafayette. New improvements of the athletic complex and the addition of our new indoor practice facility make the Ragin' Cajun workout facility one of the best in the regional U.S.
Individual Camp Needs
Football cleats, tennis shoes, practice shorts and shirts. Girdle, underwear, socks, etc. Money for snacks and souvenirs
Medical Information
The Ragin' Cajun will provide insurance after parental insurance has been exhausted. Certified athletic trainers will attend all sessions and a physician will be on call. All campers are to be in good physical shape and capable of participation in outside activities.
