McNeese Meet Moved to Saturday

The college section of the McNeese State Jeff Davis Indoor II track and field meet has been moved to Saturday, Feb. 5 due to potential freezing weather expected in the area on Friday.
The meet will be held at the McNeese State Indoor Recreation Complex which is located on the main campus off Common Street.
The Ragin' Cajuns men's and women's track and field teams will be joined by teams from Southeastern Louisiana, Northwestern State, Nicholls, Mississippi Valley, Dillard and Xavier and individuals from South Alabama and LSU as well as unattached performers.
The same time schedule that was set for Friday will now be used on Saturday. Click the links above to view the schedule of events and heat sheets.
The event marks the third meet of the 2011 season for Louisiana. The Cajuns participated in the Texas A&M Conference Challenge on Jan. 15 and Houston Indoor Invitational Jan. 28-29.
Action gets underway at 12:30 p.m. with the men's and women's weight throw. Field events continue through 7 p.m. Running events begin at 4:30 p.m. with the 55 meter hurdles.
UL will have eight participants in the men's weight throw headlined by Jacob Domingue and Garrett Harkless. A group of eight men is also competing in the shot put.
The Cajuns women have a delegation of five runners in the 200 meter dash and 400 meter dash. Representing UL will be Morgan Breaux, Abi Brown, Kacey Elphage, Amanda Roberts and Anjel Thompson.
For the first time this season the Cajuns will have runners in the 1 mile run. On the women's side, Jenna Picou and Petrona Layne are scheduled to run, while the men will send out Zach France, Juan Rodriguez, Patrick Spiller and Cody Tilley.
