Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns go back on the road this weekend as they travel to meet Sun Belt foe Troy at Veterans Memorial Stadium for a 6:00 p.m. kick-off on Saturday.

In preparation for Saturday night's match-up with the Trojans, head coach Rickey Bustle held his weekly media luncheon Monday afternoon.  To view the luncheon in its entirety, CLICK HERE.

UL is coming off of a Friday night defeat at the hands of No.22 Oklahoma State.  The Cajuns led the Cowboys by four points at halftime in front of 25,881 home fans - the 11th largest in Cajun Field history - and a national television audience of millions more viewed the game on ESPN2.

OSU shutout UL's offense in the second half and defeated the Cajuns by a final score of 54-28.

Louisiana (2-3, 2-1) enters Saturday's game at Troy riding the arm of junior quarterback Chris Masson.  Masson has thrown for 300 yards in back-to-back games for the first time in his career.  He is only the fourth signal caller in Cajuns history to accomplish the feat.  No UL quarterback has ever thrown for 300 yards in three straight games.

A couple of freshmen wide receivers delivered solid debuts in the OSU game.

Daryl Surgent etched his name into the Cajuns record book, thanks in large part to his second half 97-yard kickoff return touchdown.  The Alexandria native accumulated 238 kickoff return yards against OSU, breaking a 40-year-old Cajuns record for kickoff return yards in a game.

Fellow true freshman receiver James Butler made a name for himself in the second quarter of the contest.  The Luling native made his first three career receptions on three consecutive snaps against the Cowboys.  His first catch went for seven yards while his second was a seven-yard catch on third-and-three.  Butler completed the hat trick with a 35-yard touchdown reception.

The Cajuns also saw newcomers step up on the defensive side of the ball.

Le'Marcus Gibson and Lionel Stokes each made their first interceptions at the FBS level.  The two safeties picked off OSU's Brandon Weeden who is the 11th most efficient passer in the country.  Gibson and Stokes also both set season-highs in tackles with eight and six, respectively.

Troy is coming off of a long week of preparation as they last played on Tuesday, October 5, when they defeated Middle Tennessee 42-13 on the road on ESPN2.  The Trojans (3-2, 2-0) sit atop the Sun Belt standings.

The Cajuns are 1-5 against the Trojans in Sun Belt play including a 48-31 loss at home last season and a 48-3 defeat the last time the two squads met in Troy.

After their match-up with Troy, UL returns home to enjoy their 65th homecoming game as they welcome Western Kentucky to Cajun Field on Saturday, October 23.
