Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns softball team will participate in five tournaments during the 2010 season which includes return trips to the NFCA Leadoff Classic and Judi Garman Classic. The Ragin' Cajuns will enjoy the stretch run in the comforts of Lamson Park as 14 of the final 17 regular season games are at the facility.

Co-head coaches Stefni and Michael Lotief will see their team begin the season at Lamson Park the weekend of Feb. 12-14 in the 24th Annual Louisiana Classics, then embark on a six-week stretch in which the team will play only two home games.

The Ragin' Cajuns will face a challenging non-conference schedule that features games with Houston, Texas, Missouri, N.C. State, UMass, Fresno State, Washington and Cal State Fullerton in tournament play.

After introducing the fan base to the 2010 squad with five games in the Louisiana Classics at Lamson Park, the Ragin' Cajuns will visit Houston, Columbus, Ga., Fayetteville, Ark., and Fullerton, Calif.

UL begins the 10th season under the direction of co-head coaches Stefni and Michael Lotief hosting Bradley, Bryant University and Syracuse in the Louisiana Classics.

The first road trip of the season takes the Cajuns to Houston for the Marriott Classic the weekend of Feb. 19-21. The following weekend the team travels to Columbus, Ga., for the NFCA Leadoff Classic (Feb. 26-28) and then starts the month of March at the Razorback Invitational hosted by Arkansas (March 5-7).

A mid-week doubleheader with McNeese State at Lamson Park on March 9 precedes the annual trip to the Judi Garman Classic in Fullerton.

After returning from the Judi Garman, Louisiana begins Sun Belt Conference play March 27-28 at Western Kentucky. That series marks the first of nine straight league games on the road. UL will visit Middle Tennessee (April 6-7) and Florida International (April 10-11) before hosting a league game.

The Cajuns will play 12 of their final 15 SBC games at Lamson Park beginning with a three-game set against South Alabama the weekend of April 17-18. UL will also host Florida Atlantic (April 20-21), North Texas (May 1-2) and Louisiana-Monroe (May 8-9).

Beginning with the South Alabama series on April 17, the only road games the Cajuns will play through May 9 will be a three-game set at Troy the weekend of April 24-25.

In addition to the McNeese State doubleheader, Louisiana will also host mid-week twinbills with Houston (March 30) and Grambling State (April 27). The only mid-week road game of the season takes place on April 14 in Lake Charles against McNeese.

The 2010 Sun Belt Conference Tournament is scheduled for May 12-15 in Mobile, Ala., at Jaguar Field on the University of South Alabama campus.
