Lamar's Brian Needham earned his second victory of the season as the right-hander tossed two no-hit innings.

After three-plus scoreless innings, Lamar scratched the scoreboard first with a three-spot in the fourth inning. Tucker singled to right field and later advanced to second on a stolen base. Dunkin followed with an infield single deep into the hole at short, putting runners on the corners with nobody out.
Travis Dunson then scored the game's first run with a RBI double down the left field line to plate Tucker for a 1-0 Lamar lead. Two batters later, Jeff Vickers drew a one-out walk from Harmon to load the bases for David Moore who promptly walked in the Cardinals' second run.
Logan Pace plated Lamar's final run of the inning with a RBI sacrifice fly to center to score Dunson for a 3-0 lead.
