Cajuns Announce Football Signing Class

LAFAYETTE ? Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns head football coach Rickey Bustle announced the signing of 23 student-athletes to National Letters of Intent on National Signing Day Wednesday. Eleven of the 23 signees hail from the state of Louisiana.

 

“I am very excited about this class,” Bustle remarked.  “I think we answered many of our needs.  We got more size and athleticism in this class than we have in the past couple of years.  I think this class will have a great impact on our program.”

Dwight Bentley

Enrolled in school for the Spring 2008 semester...Considered a shutdown cornerback in high school...Had six interceptions during his senior season...Led all defensive backs with 25 tackles as a senior...All-Area First Team selection...All-State Second Team selection...Helped Pahokee High School win three Florida Class 2A state championships...Redshirted in only season at Dodge City CC and has four years of eligibility.
