MSU Defeats Women?s Tennis, 6-1

Julie Mazinova gave the Cajuns their only win of the afternoon with her 7-5, 3-6, 1-0 (11) victory over Martina Banikova at No. 1 singles.
Myrthe Molenveld dropped her match to #67 Renee Joseph 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2. Angela Dangond fell to Radka Ferancova 6-4, 6-3 at No. 3, and Kim van der Horst was defeated by Elna de Villiers 4-6, 6-4, 6-0 at No.4.
MSU's Danila Juskova defeated Bridget Markovich 5-7, 6-4, 7-5 at No. 5, and Marina Ruiz de Gauna fell to Valeriya Makarycheva 6-2, 6-1 at No. 6.
In doubles action, MSU's Banikova and de Villiers narrowly defeated Mazinova and Molenveld 8-7(3) at No. 1. Dangond and van der Horst fell to Ferancova and Joseph 8-3, and Gordon and Ruiz de Gauna were defeated by Juskova and Makarycheva 8-2.
The Cajuns will next be in action on Monday, Feb. 4 when they face in-state rival
