Cajuns to Host Alumni Challenge

LAFAYETTE-Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns softball alumni challenge has been set for Sunday, Nov. 9, at 2:00 p.m. at Alfred and Helen Lamson Ragin' Cajuns Softball Park.  The two teams are slated to play a doubleheader.  

 

The game will feature softball alumni who will play the present 2009 team.  Four first-team All-Americans, including 2008 UL Hall of Fame Inductee Alana Addison (1999-02), Brooke Mitchell (2002-05), Danielle Gomez (2003-06) and Holly Tankersley (2004, 2006-08) will be participating. 

 

Also scheduled to appear are current Ragin' Cajuns assistant coach Joy Webre (2002-05), Lacey Bertucci (2004-07), Brook Brodhead (2008), Brittany Bryant (2003-06), Ashley Evans (2002, 2004-06), Crystal George (2002-05), Tiffany Hebert (2002-05), Summar Lapeyrouse (2000-03), Jill Robertson (2001-03, 2005) and Vanessa Soto (2008), along with many others. 

 

Head coach Stefni Lotief will serve as the coach of the alumni squad, while head coach Michael Lotief will coach the 2009 Ragin' Cajuns. 

 

The game is open to the public.
