Tennis Competes Well at Ole Miss

OXFORD, Miss. ? In their first competition of the year, the Ragin' Cajuns women's tennis team played well at the Ole Miss Fall Classic in Oxford, Miss. The team crowned one champion and had two individuals and one doubles team reach the semis.
Sophomore Mia Gordon competed in the C flight singles and the B flight doubles portion of the tournament. Gordon and her teammate Marina Ruiz De Gauna reached the semis before falling to the eventual champion. Gordon competed individually in the C flight. She lost her opening match but rebounded to win the consolation portion of the flight.
Gauna also competed individually in the D flight singles portion. She reached the semis of the flight before falling in a hard fought match.
Milou Israel competed in the C flight singles bracket reaching the Semis as well.
Briggitt Marcovich competed in the A flight singles reaching the quarterfinals before falling to the eventual champion.
Senior Angela Dangond reached the quarterfinals of the B flight singles. She fell to the eventual champion in that flight.
The Cajuns will compete at the ITA Regionals in Dallas, Texas Friday Oct. 24 ? Saturday Oct. 27. The ITA Regionals is that last competition for the women in the fall portion of their schedule.
