With 14-seconds on the clock, Elijah Millsap made the front end of a pair of free throws to give the Cajuns a 70-69 lead, but it would not be enough to lift UL to a victory, as North Texas' Kendrick Davis made a three pointer with 2.2 seconds on the clock to give the Mean Green a 72-70 victory.
The Mean Green were 0-13 on the night from behind the arc, but made the one that mattered at the end of regulation.

Following the bucket by Dees, the Cajuns seniors combined to score the final five buckets of the half for UL and the final 10 points.
A three-pointer by Rhett Hebert gave the Cajuns a 23-17 lead with 7:20 remaining in the first half.
North Texas cut the lead to two points before a Valentino Hart free throw pushed the Cajuns' lead to 24-21 with 6:05 remaining in the half.
A pair of free throws cut the UL lead to just one point, but Hebert made a running jumper to extend the lead back to three points with less than five and a half minutes to play in the first half.
With 4:51 to play in the half, Hart converted a jumper to give the Cajuns a 28-25 edge.
