Cajuns set for Battle on the Bend

LAFAYETTE-Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns men's golf team is set to host the third annual Battle on the Bend at the Cypress Bend Golf Resort and Country Club in Many, La. The tournament will begin on Sunday morning and continue through Tuesday.

The Cajuns will host Centenary, McNeese State, Nicholls State, Sam Houston State, Steven F. Austin, Texas State, Missouri-Kansas City and Central Arkansas.

The format will be 18-holes each day. Sunday and Monday's rounds will be tee times, with Tuesday being a shotgun start.

The weekend will begin with a College-Am on Saturday, and the participating teams will also conduct a practice round on Saturday.

The tournament will mark the third Battle of the Bend in Ragin' Cajuns history. Sam Houston State claimed the 2006 team title, while New Orleans won the inaugural championship in 2005.
