In the open singles, No. 9 seed Piotrek Banas advanced to the quarterfinals round after he defeated No. 2 seed
In the open singles consolation, Jorge Delgado advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating Texas-San Antonio's Daniel Moreiras 6-4, 2-6, 1-0. Delgado will take on Texas A&M's Matt Bain.
In doubles action, Banas and Arlen Domoney fell to UTSA's Robin Fernandes and Moreiras 8-5. Delgado and Murilo Martins were defeated by No. 2 seeded Baylor's David Galic and Lukacs 8-4.
Competition continues Monday.
