Wednesday's Nicholls State Doubleheader Postponed

LAFAYETTE - The 14th-ranked Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns softball team's attempt to play games for the first time in eight days - in a scheduled Wednesday doubleheader at Nicholls State in Thibodaux - was thwarted by early morning rain showers and the potential for more rainfall in the afternoon hours.
The two programs have scheduled a makeup date for Wednesday, April 27 in Thibodaux with a start time of 4 p.m. at the Colonel Diamond. A doubleheader will be played.
The Ragin' Cajuns (24-7), having last played on March 29, are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, April 9 at Ragin' Cajuns Softball Park for their Sun Belt Conference opener with New Mexico State (17-19) in a 1 p.m. doubleheader. The doubleheader with NMSU is the beginning of a four-game series with the Aggies which will conclude on Sunday, April 10 in another 1 p.m. twinbill.
